Victim Witness Coordinator/Office Administrator.

District Attorney’s Office.

Full time benefited position

Salary Range 42: ($23.28-$28.30) per hour

Under direction of the District Attorney, to plan, organize, coordinate and administer the Victim Witness Assistance Program Grant and to perform a variety of difficult and complex secretarial and administrative support tasks for various functions of the department and perform other related duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High school diploma or GED equivalent; specialized training in the legal secretarial field preferred. 

Experience:

Previous legal secretarial experience or experience working with victims and witnesses desirable but not required.

Other Requirements:

Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Successful candidate will be required to complete Victim-Witness certification (entry-level and advanced advocate) and ongoing training, as required by the Grant.

 

COMPENSATION &        100% FTE in a five step salary system with advancement upon satisfactory completion    

BENEFITS                     of a one year probationary period and annual increases thereafter.

                                    Salary Range 42 ($23.28-$28.30) per hour

 

  • Health Insurance: County provides medical, dental and vision coverage for employee with co-payment by employee dependent on family status.
  • Vacation: Accrued at the rate of 6.67 hours per month, or 10 vacation days per year.
  • Sick Leave: Earned at the rate of 8 hours per month.
  • Holidays: 15 paid holidays per year.
  • Retirement: Participation in the California Public Employee Retirement System (PERS), 2% at 62 plan New Members
  • Deferred Compensation: the County has a voluntary deferred compensation program.
  • Alpine County is a drug, alcohol and smoke-free workplace.
